After sitting mainly vacant for 47 years, Dan Gilbert purchased the the Metropole Building in 2013 and completely overhauled the building with modern renovations completed in 2017. The new Bedrock headquarters posed some interesting challenges for Turner Brooks as construction began for the company in 2016. The building had been completely gutted but keeping the original integrity of the building was important to this project and something that Turner Brooks strived to achieve throughout its completion. Although all the materials were new through out the building, they were meant to look old and reminiscent of the original design.
